Argentum Nanopowder (Ag)
The material consists for 99,99% of metal silver. Presence of adsorbed gases is up to 0,01% - CH4, CO2, Ar, N2.
Physical and chemical characteristics
Powder of grey colour. Average size of particles is 100 nm. Some particles , in average, have sizes 70-150 nm and form microagglomerates. Powder bulk density is about 5,8 g/sm3. Powder bulk density may increase with mechanical influences (like vibration etc.). Specific surface area measured by BET is 6,5 m2/g. The powder is a pure crystal silver.
Argentum powder emits extra energy at heating in inert atmosphere. The origin of it cannot be explained. Melting point is 960 C.
Argentum powder can be used at making electro and thermal transfer pastes in electronics; as antiseptic remedy in medicine; as catalyzer in aero filters.
