Material consists for 99% active tin, and 1% of adsorbed gases.
Physical and chemical characteristics
Exterior view and colour: grey powder. Average particle size is 80-110 nm. Powder bulk density is about 1,4 g/sm3.
Specific surface area measured by BET, Sud = 7-8 m2/g. Starting temperature of tin powder agglomeration ≥ 30 C. A large number of microagglomerations are formed as a result of agglomeration of primary particles.
Tin powder can be used in catalysis and science of materials. Tin electrolytic layers are widely used for making electric contacts in production of electronic radio equipment.
