Wolfram Nanopowder (W)
Material consists for about 85% of metal wolfram (W), and the rest is ferric, oxygen and other chemical elements.
Physical and chemical characteristics
Exterior view and colour: black powder. Average size of particles in the powder is 200-500 nm. Particles have spherical shape. Some particles form agglomerates. Dry powder bulk density is about 15 g/sm 3. Melting point is 3200 C. It ignites interacting with open flame in the air. Burning speed is 1,33 mm/sec. Specific surface area measured by BET is 1,7 – 2,4 m2/g.
The wolfram powder can be used in science of metal, electronical technics, producing nitride consisting ceramic materials, producing cutting tools, electric erosion-resistant materials, filled polymers.
